Hello, all! Wow, there’s a lot of you to talk to. XD I just have some quick updates to share, and a request.
Firstly, I really want to apologize for the continued inactivity on my part, but honestly, I can’t see that changing much anytime soon. I am starting my second job tomorrow (Tues 5/29) and, because of that, I’ll be working as much as 15 hours per day during the week, which really doesn’t leave me a ton of time for any sort of drawing or songset work or photoediting. In what little free time I do have in there, I’m going to be prepping for AnimeNext- which leads me to my second topic!
AnimeNext is June 8-10th this year, and I’m going to be going with the boyfriend again, and a few other friends! Friday, I may or may not attend due to work (uuuugh), but Saturday I will definitely be going. I believe Justin and I will be Dovahkiin on the 9th (which are the costumes that I don’t have done yet, so that’s where all my free time is going until they’re done- see WIP’s on my tumblr at link) and Isabela and Hawke from Dragon Age 2 on the 10th (see a pic of those costumes here—> [link]). We’ve revamped the costumes a bit and improved our weaponry and accessories, so that’s exciting. Anyway! For those who are going to AnimeNext, shoot me a comment and we’ll see if we can’t meet up, because that would be just awesome.
Now, a quick request before I go back to sewing Skyrim stuff- it’s about the videos and songset adaptations on youtube. Guys, the people who use my comics in videos are just absolutely splendid people. They really, really are, and I am so thrilled and lucky that they’ve decided to make something of my art. So please- respect those videos, and the music they use. Comments on the videos should reflect your opinions on the video and content, and shouldn’t be made on the youtube song by the original musician. They didn’t write their music for homestuck, no matter how appropriate or fitting it is in context. Their music should be appreciated separately; only comment on the combination of the two where there is a combination of the two! The original song post is not the place for Homestuck chatter. The songset videos are really where those comments should be directed.
I only request this because recently, I’ve seen it get a bit… absurd, I think. And yeah, that’s youtube commenting for you, but really- we can be better than that. //soapbox

I think a number of people could have called this song for him. I know it’s been done before, but goshdarnit if it doesn’t just fit. I’m going to wrestle with this one the whole way through, just see if I don’t. XDD There’s still some tweaking I want to do, even now, but I’m too lazy right now. Fix it later, psssht. I have no concept of how many parts this one will be. I’ll work on it when I have time, but this semester has been hell for me so far, so expect updates to be sporadic and spaced-out!))Updated with Part 4! One more part to go, holy cow. Let me preface this story by saying that, physically, I was a very late bloomer. Puberty hit me my sophomore year of high school- so, when some girls were wearing training bras in sixth grade, I was still a twiggish thing with no definition to speak of.
Someone in my class told me that a classmate thought that I stuffed my bra- which, to me, was preposterous. I was so flat, why would he even think I wore one? I had no shame, and no concept that this sort of thing was kept whispered behind hands and giggles. I wanted to set the record straight! So, at the end of class, I turned to him from across the room and shouted, “(his name), I don’t even wear a bra!”
The entire classroom stared at me. It took me a week to realize why.))
